Jack  Come in.

Ann  Hello, Jack.

Jack  Hello, Ann. How are you?

Ann  Fine, thanks. Can I sit down?

Jack  Of course.

Ann  Thank you. I met an old friend of yours last week.

Jack  Oh, yes? Who?

Ann  Margaret Shaw.

Jack  Really？How is she?

Ann  Very well.

Jack  Where did you meet her?

Ann   At her office in Berlin.

Jack  Had you been to her office before?

Ann  No, I hadn’t . In fact, I hadn’t been to berlin before weeke.

Jack  Had you met Margaret before?

Ann  Yes, I had, but only briefly, and that was some years ago.

Jack  I see.

Ann  Jack?
