1. 副詞的位置
多數副詞都放在所修飾的動詞后面或句末。例:
It’s raining hard
She doesn’t work here now.
1)程度副詞一般放在被修飾的動詞、形容詞或副詞前面, be 動詞或情態動詞后面。 I can hardly remember his name.
I am terribly sorry for the. inconvenience.
2) 方式副詞一般放在動詞后面.。 在動詞+介賓結構中,方式副詞既可放在介詞前,也可放在賓語后;在動賓結構中,方式副詞一般放在賓語后面,但如果賓語較長,往往把方式副詞放在動詞前以避免歧義。例:
He could speak English very well.
He looked at her sadly.
He shook hands eagerly with the president.
I excitedly told the boy who was waiting anxiously outside the classroom that he has passed the exam successfully.
3) 邏輯連接副詞和評注性副詞[obviously, (un)wisely, (un)reasonably, likely, clearly, actually, undoubtedly, simply, personally, finally, unexpectedly, (un)fortunately, certainly等]通常放在句首, 有時也可放在句中或句尾。例:
However no one knows the answer.
He came to visit us unexpectedly.
He was different, however, from the others.
4) 時間、地點副詞通常在句首或句尾。例:
They will bring the package to us soon.
Yesterday I went to church.
Here you can have a rest.
The children threw their toys everywhere.
2. 副詞的順序
1)方式副詞→地點副詞→時間副詞, 或將時間副詞放在句首。例:
She wore gracefully in the party last night.
◆ 注意 :
run, go, drive 等+ 地點副詞+方式副詞+時間副詞。 例:
I went home happily after school.
2) 內容具體的在前,籠統的在后;小的在前,大的在后。例:
We arrived in London at five o’clock yesterday morning.
He was born in a small village in China.
3. 幾組副詞比較
1)sometime, sometimes, some time
sometime是副詞,表示“將來某個時候”;sometimes是副詞,表示“有時候”;some time 是名詞短語,表示“一段時間,一會兒”。例:
I sometimes get up late on Sundays.
I will call you sometime tomorrow.
You should spend some time correcting your mistakes.
2) enough, only
enough作副詞修飾形容詞、副詞或動詞,意思是 "十分地;充分地;足夠地;充足地",置于被修飾的形容詞或副詞之后,常與不定式或介詞for連用 ,在句子中作狀語,表示程度;enough作形容詞時,意思是"足夠的;充分的",常與for或不定式連用,可以作定語或表語,既可放在被修飾詞的后面,也可放在被修飾詞的前面,意義沒有多大區別。Only 必須緊靠被修飾詞,在不同的位置有不同的含意。例:
Have you made enough copies?
Five men will be quite enough. 五個人就足夠了。
They will get there fast enough by train if they leave tonight.
Mary can solve this problem only. Mary只能解決這個問題。
Only Mary can solve this problem.只有Mary能解決這個問題。
