1)as +形容詞詞原級+ as(和...一樣); not +as/so ++形容詞詞原級+ as(不如,不及)Tom is as tall as John.
Mary is not so/as tall as Tom.
This tree is as tall as 10 meters.
The winter comes as early as October.
This room is larger than that one.
A. 比較級前可加下列程度副詞:even, a lot, a bit, a little, still, much, far, yet, by far 等。
He is taller by far than his brother.
He is by far the taller of the two brothers.
He works even harder than before.
B. 某些以-or結尾的形容詞(如:superior, junior, senior等) 進行比較時,用to代替than.。
He is far superior to Jane in English.
The book on the table is more interesting than that on the desk.
A box made of iron is stronger than one made of wood.
D. more…than…
He was more angry than disappointed.
He was more of an artist than a teacher.
3)too + 形容詞(或副詞)+ to do 表示“太…
He is too young to go to school..= He is so young that he couldn’t go to school
4) the same as…, the same + 名詞+ 表示“與… 例:
Today’s typewriter keyboard is the same as Shole’s 1867 key-board..
I want the same shirt as my friend is wearing.
The more you argue with him, the less notice he takes.
