在美國看病最麻煩的事兒就是預(yù)約。美國與中國情況不同，美國一般看醫(yī)生需要打電話預(yù)約，這也是為什么感冒發(fā)燒一類的小病一般大家都不去醫(yī)院的原因，有預(yù)約的時間，病早好了。而且即使你順利見到了醫(yī)生，也是先需要在醫(yī)院填一堆表，表上經(jīng)常都是病和藥的名字，估計GRE考滿分的學(xué)生看這些也費勁，況且還發(fā)著燒，腦子都不清醒，還怎么可能會正確地填表。總之，如果不是什么必須去醫(yī)院的病，自己給自己看就行了。不過直接去急診的話可以省去預(yù)約這個環(huán)節(jié)，但這只針對十分緊急的情況。
