關于理發店，最有意思的是，留美的學生有很多人都養成了自己剪頭發的習慣，除了便宜外，更大一部分理由是因為美國的理發師經常無法剪出令中國學生滿意的發型，因此大家便自己動手。美國城市不同，理發店的價格也會不同。從15美元到上百美元不等，另外還要付15%~20%的小費。美國的便利店里都會賣很專業的理發套裝，價格會比中國便宜很多。
