1.       去圣瑪麗教堂的路  The Way to St. Mary’s Church

Mary : Hey , do you know the way to St. Mary’s Church from here ?

John : Yeah , walk straight up this street for two traffic lights . At the second traffic light turn left .

Mary : You mean by the Old Bar ?

John : Yes , once you turn left at the second light keep going until you reach the Old Bar. The church you want is right next door to it .

Mary : Thanks !

瑪麗：你好，你知道從這里去圣瑪麗教堂的路嗎？

Mary : And then should I keep straight ? I know the beach is in that direction .

John : Keep straight only for 5 blocks . Once you get to the fifth light , take a right and walk for another three blocks .

Mary : Is it a long walk for each block ?

John : No , each block is small , but the wharf is a small place so if you don't find its exact spot you’ll lose it .

Mary : I see , so then what ?

John : Well , you then need to keep an eye out for a green sign with a duck shape on it . When you find the sign you’ll see a door by it . Walking into that door will bring you to the Wharf .

在西方，指路問路其實挺有趣，當一個人迷路了，他會很禮貌地讓你停下來幫他指路。有時候他們會很猶豫，甚至為打擾了你而向你道歉。首先允許對方向你道歉并說完他的問題。然后他會耐心地等待你的回答。如果你不知道他應該走的確切路線，就告訴他一個正確的方向，然后建議他到下一個十字路口問其他人。如果你很清楚他要去的地方，同時你也有時間，如果路不遠，最好是送他到想去的地點，當然這不是必需的，但是這樣對他的幫助會更大。
