當招聘單位為你提供職位而你因為各種原因而決定拒絕這一職位的時候，首先你必須對對方提供職位表示感謝，然后再簡單地加以說明，告訴對方自己為什么拒絕這一職位。但不能對對方提供的職位給予負面的評價，這樣是很不禮貌的。最后可以向對方送上祝福，希望對方早日找到合適的人選。

當拒絕職位的時候你會說

1.I would be interested in a more challenging job .

我比較感興趣于更具有挑戰性的工作。

2.I’m sorry , but I just don't see the good in a step sideways .

很抱歉，我不認為轉換到同樣的職位對我有什么好處。

3.I don’t think that’s the job I want after think it over .

經過再三思考，我認為這不是我想要的工作。

4.I am afraid that’s where we must agree to differ .

恐怕在那一點上我們的看法不太一樣。

agree to differ 表示“各自保留不同的意思”，其中differ指“意見分歧”，同意“意見分歧”自然也就是說“保留意見”的意思了。

5.I really appreciate your offer , but I must decline it .

非常感謝貴公司的錄用，但我不得不拒絕這份工作。

6.I’m afraid that’s not the job I expect .

恐怕那不是我希望的工作。

7.Thanks , but I’m very happy where I am .

多謝，但是我很喜歡我現在的工作。

8.I have accepted the other offer .

我已經接受了另一家公司的聘用。

9.The work sounds interesting , but I’m afraid the pay is not so good .

這工作聽起來有意思，但恐怕工資待遇不太好。

10.I can’t give you an ans

我恐怕不能馬上發表意見。

11.I can’t say anything definite right now .

我恐怕不能立即詳細地回答。

12.I cannot give you an immediate answer on the matter .

這件事我無法馬上回復你。

on the matter 的意思是“在這件事情上”，有很強的特指意味。

13.I would like for you to wait about a week .

我希望你能給我一周時間。
