美國俚語——in the balance
我們都知道balance 的意思是“余額，平衡”，但是in the balance呢？難道是表示一種平衡的狀態嗎？錯啦！In the balance 的意思是“未知的，不可預測的”。
如果你想要對自己的存款重新進行scheme,那么首先必須要知道卡上還有多少存款，就可以說：Could you tell me my balance?（能否把存款結余金額告訴我？）另一種表達方式是：Please let me know my balance.
有時候，隨著工作或者生活地的alteration,加上異地存取款多有不便，通常會注銷在某一地的賬戶，因此I want to close my account with you.（我想結束在你們這兒的賬戶。）這也是需要掌握的句子哦。
存款很多時候并不僅僅是為了安全，還是為了investment,因此，銀行存款利率也是需要重視的：What's the interest rate for the savings account?（儲蓄存款的利率是多少？）你還可以說Please tell me what the annual interest rate is.
出國之前，需要兌換一些外幣，你可以這樣表達自己的要求，I'd like to know if you could change this money back into U.S. dollars for me.（我想知道能否把這筆錢兌換成美元。）或者說,I'd like to convert the full amount of the remittance into U.S. dollars.
