美國俗語——act one's age
Act one's age是什么意思呢？從字面上來看是“扮演一個人的年齡”，可是年齡怎么扮演呢？估計你絞盡腦汁也想不出個所以然來。因為Act one's age的真正意思是“適齡行為”。也就是你這個年紀應該做符合你這個年齡的行為。也可以做“沒大沒小”之意，而有時也用be one's age來形容孩子氣。來看下面這個例子：We children enjoyed our uncle because he didn't always act his age.（我們的孩子們喜歡叔叔，因為他時常很孩子氣。）
你會表達multiple嗎？This room is two times bigger than that one.（這個房間比那個房間大兩倍。）要是想要比較年齡，就可以說：My age is two times older than his.（我的年齡比他大兩倍。）
你會用英文表達“2+3=”嗎？看著很簡單，可是就是不知道“加”該怎么說？記住了哦：How much is two plus three? 會問了也要回答哦！Two and three is equal to five./If we add two and three, we get five. 它們都可以的。
10-6=？你會毫不猶豫地脫口而出“4”，課時用英語說呢？這個……你不知道“減”應該怎么說吧？那么記一下：How much is ten minus six?你可以用Take six from ten and the remainder is four.或者Six (taken)from ten is four.回答。
如果當你不得不面對3x4=?的表達時，該怎么說呢？How much are three times four? 就是這么簡單。至于回答嘛！也不難：Multiply three by four, we get twelve.或者Three multiplied by four makes twelve.
