美國俚語——A blind date
A blind date可不是“一個盲目的日期”，這跟日期完全沒有關系！Date 在這里是“約會”的意思，“盲目的約會”就是通常說的相親。因為事先對對方的長相、性格、愛好等因素都不是很熟悉，當然就是blind 啦。比如：I'm really freaking out for I'm going on a blind date in half an hour, but I'm still not sure how to dress up.（我真的很緊張，因為半個小時后就要驚人介紹去見一個對象，但我直到現在還不知道穿什么好。）
在日常生活中，日期是經常discuss的話題，你可能經常會說：What day is today?（今天星期幾？）可是，你只會這一種表達方式嗎？occasionally也換一換吧，為什么不用 “What day is it?/What day of the week is it today?
如果你感覺用“What day is it today?”并不能凸顯你很cool的口語，那么試一下What 's the date today?/What's the date?/What date is it today?/What's the date?他們都可以表達同樣的意思，卻更有freshness。
你會不會忙的天昏地暗，連現在是幾個月都不知道了呢？這個可能性還是有的。這時候，你可以問問： “What month was last month?”或者“What month is next month?”或者“What month is this?”他們都能讓你對現在的月份有concept。
想要知道現在是幾點了，那么就有politely地說 “What time is it, please?”吧!當然你也可以說Could you tell me what time it is now?或者Have you got the time?
