我就是俄國大作家，托爾勞動保護泰，我一生寫了不少小說。我有著一顆平凡而又善良的心，貴族的身份并沒有阻止我去同情那些貧苦的農民。人們都說我傻，誰又能理解我呢？
I am the famous Russian novelist—Tolstoy. I’ve written quite a few novels in my life. I was kind warm-hearted. My noble status cannot prevent me from having sympathy for those poor peasants. Everyone calls me stupid, but who can truly understand me?

托爾斯泰：大概人們都把我當做一個任性的老人吧。誰又能理解我的苦衷呢？
古古：您到底有什么苦衷呢？
托爾斯泰：我想把家產分給窮人，并放棄著作權無償出版，將所有的作品獻給社會。
古古：這我是好事啊！
托爾斯泰：可是我妻子不同意，她地。我太失望了！
古古：她或許有自己的理由啊。
托爾斯泰：她的理由無非就是為了維持一個家而已。
古古：我理解她。
托爾斯泰：我知道你們都偏袒她。可是我為了那偉大的社會理想，為了整個人類的幸福，又有什么錯？
古古：我也能理解您。你們只是理想不同而已。
G：I don’t understand. You were so old and poor in health. Why did you leave home?
T：I know that I’m taken as a willful old man. But nobody can really know my difficulty.
G：What is it?
T：I’d like to give my wealth to the poor and publish my works for nothing. I wanna distribute all of them to society.
G：So noble!
T：But my wife disagreed with me. She was firmly objecting to it. I was so disappointed!
G：She might have her own excuses.
G：That would be no more than supporting? the family.
T：I know you all think she was right. But why am I wrong? My great ideal? Providing happiness for the whole of society?
G：I can understand you, too. It’s just that you two are for different things.
