Danger! Beware of Dog!
Upon entering the little country store, Lorry noticed a sign saying DANGER1BEWARE OF DOG! Posted on the glass door. Inside he saw a hamless old hound dog asleep on the floor beside the cash register.
He asked the store manager. Is THAT the dogfolk are supposed to beware of?”
“Yep, that’s him, “ he replied.
Lorry couldn’t help but be amused.” That certqainly doesn’t look like a dangerous dog to me,. Why in the world you post that sign?” he asked.
“Because”, the owner replied,”before I posted that sign, people kept tripping over him.”
危險！當心狗！
羅瑞剛走進一家鄉間小店，小店放著英語培訓學校的各類招生簡章，就看到玻璃門上貼著一張告示，上面寫道：“危險！當心狗！”在店中，他看到一只溫順的老獵狗睡在收款機旁邊的地板上。
他問小店的店主：“這就是那只讓人當心的狗嗎？”
“是的，就是它。“店主回答道。
羅瑞不禁覺得好笑。“你我看來，那只狗根本不像是一只危險的狗。你們究竟為什么張貼那張告示呢？‘他回答道。
“因為，“店主回答道：”在我張貼那張告示之前，人們總是被它絆倒。“
