A New Employee
Several weeks after a young woman had been hired, she was called into the personnal director’s affice. “ What is the meaning of this?”
The director asked.” When you applioed for the job, you told us you had five years experience. Now we discover this is the first job you ever hjeld.”
“Well,” the young woman said,” in your advertisement you said you wanted somebaby with imagination.”

An Obvious Success
A friend was seeking a reliable baby-sitter for his infat son. One woman who came to be interviewed brought her daughter with her. We recognized the daughter,and well-man-nered teenager who was involved in many church activities.
After a brief discussion, my friend asked the woman if she had any references. “ Yes,” she said , gesturing toward her daughter.” This is an example of my finest work.”
She got the job.

我的一位朋友想為他剛出生手兒子找個可靠的保姆。有位女士帶著她的女兒前來應征。不難自出她的女兒是個既聰明又懂禮貌的兒童。她還經常去教堂參加活動。簡單的談話后,我的朋友問那位女士有沒有推薦證明什么的。“有啊,”她邊說邊指向她的女兒,“這就是我能做個稱職的保姆的最好證明。”
她得到了那份工作。
