Pilot
As our plane touched down on the runway, its landing gear caught fire. Because the fire was near the engines, we exited the aircraft using emergency protocol. I found myself in a group of stunned passengers, huddled on the pavement, wondering about the fate of our luggage.
A man standing next to me was staring wide-eyed, watching the firemen who were busy extinguishing the flames. “Wom”, he said, “this is the first time that has happened to me!”
“ I know what you mean,” I commented. ” I fly all the time in my line of work.”
“ so do I,” he replied.
“What do you do?” I asked.
He grinned sheepishly said,” “I am the pilot.”
