Buying stamps
Ed taylor decided to go to puerto rico for vacation. He enjoyed the warm sun, the beautiful beaches, and icy blue water, but he had one problem. He couldn’t speak any spanish.Sometimes he found people who undersstood him, but sometimes he found people who understood him, but sometimes he wasn’t he wasn’t so lucky. Ed liked to sit on the beach and write letters while he listened to music on the radio. He wrote many letters, and then he decided to find the post office and buy some stamps.
Ed walked up to the first person he saw and asked:“where can I buy some bollos, please?”the man gave him a funny look and walked away.
Again ed stopped someone and asked:“where can I buy some sillies, please?”the woman shrugged her shoulders and continued walking.
Ed thought it was strange to find stamps in a sewing store, but ed thanked the man and went into the store.“may I please have some bolsillos for my letters?”the lady in the store looked at the letters and then at ed. “bolsillos?”“yes, to put right here.”and he pointed to the place where the stamp goes. The lady in the store began to laugh.ed didn’t understand, and he felt a little annoyed.“what’s so funny?”he asked angrily.“I asked for some bolsillos for my letters.”still laughing, the lady pointed to her pockets.“Estos son bolsillos. These are pockets”she said.“you want sellos. You can buy them at the post office, but I think you should buy a dictionary first.”
