公告和正式文件里使用的文體以及公務員用的話非常相似，用語都比較正式。

看一下下面的例子：

●In a theatre　在劇場

　Please take your seats. The performance will commence in three minutes. The performance wil commence in three minutes.

You are reminded that smoking is not permitted in the auditorium. Thank you.

請大家就座。演出將在三分鐘后開始，演出將在三分鐘后開始。請大家不要在劇場內抽煙。謝謝。

●In a railway station在火車站

　The train now arriving at Platform 4 is the 16:44 service from Manchester.

  正在進入４站臺的是１６點４４分從曼徹斯特發出的列車。

Platform alteration: the 17:10 Inter City service from Edinburgh will arrive Platform 6, not Platform 6, not Platform 5. Plaftorm 6, not Platform 5.

站臺變更：１７點１０分從愛丁堡發出的城際列車將停靠６站臺，不是５站臺。停靠６站臺，不是５站臺。

●In an airport departure lounge在機場候機廳　　　　

　United Airlines announce the departure of Flight UA 257 to Tokyo. This flight is now boarding at Gate 21.

  美聯航ＵＡ２５７前往東京的航班正在２１號登機口辦理登機。

●During a fight  飛行中

　Good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen. Captain Watts and his crew would like to welcome you on board this British Airways boeing 747. Our flighttime to London today is three hours and fifteen minutes. We hope you have a pleasant flight.

  女士們，先生們，下午好。機長沃茲和全體機組成員歡迎你們乘坐英國航空公司波音７４７.我們前往倫敦的飛行時間是３小時１５分鐘。祝你們路途愉快。

　Ladies and gentlemen, you may now leave your seats if you wish. You are remindedthat smoking is not permitted during the flight.

  女士們，先生們，現在你們可以離開座位。飛行過程中全程禁煙。

　Ｗe are commencing our descent to London Heatgrow, Please return to your seat. Pleae make sure that your seatbelt is fasteed, your seat is in the upright position and your table is folded away.

通過例子我們知道，這種文體有正式文體的獨特特征。

⑴使用特殊的表達。更多地使用比一般句子長、準確的表達。比較下面四個句子的正式和非正式表達。

Ｆormal(正式)

You may now smoke if you wish.

Please make sure tht you seatbelt is fastened.

Please take your seats.

Smoking is not permitted.

Informal(非正式)

You can now smoke if you want to .

Please fasten your seatbelt.

Please sit down.

You n\must’t smoke.
