Dear Mr Hole, Thank you for your e-mail. Here is the information you requested about the daily rouline of our company

president, Mr Hayalo ueda.

Mr Ueda always gets up of about 6,000 a.m, and goes jogging before breakfast. He gets to work by eight and likes to read his

e-mail and do paperwork before lunch. He usually has a light lunch at about twelve noon. After lunch, he often has meetings.

He has dinner of seven or eight. He doesn’t like to go bed late on weekdays, so please do not plan any events for late in the

evening. At weekends, he enjoys going to concerts and operas, and enjoys playing tennis.

THE VERBS ‘DO’ AND ‘MAKE’　　動詞do 和make

動詞do 和make的意思很相近。但是，如果仔細看各自的基本用法，就會有很多不同點。比如，我們想要說‘做什么’

的時候有do ,而在想要說“制作什么”的時候用make:

Yesterday I did the washing. 昨天我洗衣服了。

I have also made a cake this morning. 今天早上我還做了一個蛋糕。

 

‘DO’:OTHER EXAMPLES 動詞do 的其他例句

do表示“做什么”，make 表示‘制作什么’，這是兩個最基本的意思。但是，人們依然很難清楚地區分兩個動詞的用

法。有的do 和make 的用法已經作為慣用法固定下來，我們可以記住。比如：

make a mistake 犯錯誤　　　do business 做生意
