Task 4    

Xiao Yang is taxi driver in Beijing. He is talking with his passenger, Paul, from New Orleans, America, Listen to the dialogue and then read after the recording.

小楊是北京的一名出租司機，李正在和他的乘客，來自美國新奧爾良的保爾談話。先聽，然后跟著錄音朗讀這段對話。

Xiao Yang:  Where would you like to go ,sir?

     Paul:  To the Great Wall Hotel.

Xiao Yang:  Are you from America?

     Paul:  Yes, I’m from New Orleans.

Xiao Yang:  What’s the weather like in New Orleans at this time of the year?

     Paul:  It’s beautiful right now! We have warm days and cool nights in early spring and late autumn. It’s the best time to visit.

Xiao Yang:  Is it cold in winter?

     Paul:  The winter is mild, I should say. But it rains quite lot. So if you go there in winter, you’d better take an umbrella.

Xiao Yang:  How about summer?

     Paul:  The summer weather is hot and humid. The hot weather lasts from May to October. It is shines and also rains.

Xiao Yang:  I read from a book that the climate in New Orleans is semitropical. So you can enjoy out-door activities all year round. Is that true?
