如果要英語表示“兩者都……”的時候用什么英語句型呢？在優朗做全日制英語培訓的許老師告訴我們可以用“both...and...”，“both...and...”的意思是“兩者都……”，在強調“兩者兼具”特性的時候可以使用，比如我們常在英語中說的“我和他都是籃球隊的隊員。”或“她既聰明又美麗。”都可以使用這個句型。
句型解析：
1.表示事物兩者兼具的表達句型
both...and...可說是一個并列連接詞，表示“……和……都”或“既……又……”。both...and...可以連接名詞、代詞、動詞、形容詞、介詞等。
例句：
We should tie up both his hands and his feet.
我們應該把他的手腳都綁起來。
2.表示對兩者的否定或是在兩者之間進行選擇的表達
講到both...and...就不能不提下面兩個相關句型：
neither...nor...：表示對兩者否定，是both...and...的對立結構，意為“既不……也不……”。
either...or...：表示兩者之間進行選擇，兩者之一，意為“……或者……”“要么……要么……”、“不是……就是……”。
例句：
The sweaters I tried were either too big or too small.
我試穿的這幾件毛衣不是太大就是太小。
3.以上兩類句型不同的接續原則
需要區分一點是，當句型both...and...連接兩個名詞作主語時，動詞通常用復數形式。而當句型either...or...和句型neither...nor...連接兩個主語時，動詞在人稱和復數都必須與它較近的主語保持一致，也就是我們常說的“就近原則”。
