很多時候，想知道自己說的對方是否聽懂了，用英語該如何問呢？
當表示“詢問對方是否明白自己的意思 ，確認對方是否明白時”可以用“Do you know what I mean ? ”
例句：
It's a difficult situation . Do you know what I mean ? I don't want to offend Julia , but I feel I have to say something .
那情況實在讓人為難。你懂我的意思嗎？我不想得罪茱莉亞，可是我覺得我必須說那些話。
Mrs Lewis is a little eccentric , if you know what I mean . She owns over thirty cats .

Tips：
在非正式談話中，人們常會把Do you know what I mean ?簡化為 know what I mean ? 它還有另外一種形式可供使用者選擇，那就是if you know what I mean 。

do your best 指竭盡所能，付出全部努力，可表示為求成功竭盡所能，也可形容做事不遺余力。

Sarah did her best to persuade Mary to stay .
薩拉盡力勸瑪麗留下來。
