An orphanage
I visited an orphanage today. The visit was part of our school ‘s program to make us more aware of the less fortunate.We rode on the school bus on the way to the orphanage. Everyone was happy along the way.After about thirty minutes the o orphanage came into view. It was a white washed building with a very wide yard in front of it. The yard was carpeted with grass and was planted with trees and flowering plants. There was also a playground with see-saws,swings and slides. Our teacher introduced us to the director of the orphanage and then he led us inside the orphanage. The children inside the orphanage were already waiting for us in a big hall when we got there. At first we didn’t know what to do. Then, our teacher told us to distribute the gifts we had brought with us for them. Most of the gifts were either clothes, toys or candies.
After that we started playing with them.We also played some games together. Then, we ate lunch together.In the afternoon the children performed some songs and dances for us. After each number everyone claped heartily. When it was time to go I couldn’t help feeling a bit sad. To me, these children became like my younger brothers and sisters. I wanted to bring them home with me so that they could have a family but I couldn’t. I felt really sorry for them because they didn’t have parents like we do. I think when I graduate from school, I would like to help these unfortunate children more.

孤兒院
今天我去拜訪孤兒院，這是學校的活動之一，好讓我們更多地了解較不幸的人。我們搭校車到孤兒院去，一路上，每個人都很高興。大約三十分鐘孤兒院就在眼前了。那是一幢粉刷成白色的建筑，前面有一個非常寬大的院子。院子上鋪滿綠草并種著樹木及花朵。還有一個游樂場，上面有蹺蹺板、蕩秋千和溜滑梯。老師介紹我們給孤兒院院長，然后帶我們進孤兒院。我們到那里時，里面的孩子都已經在大廳等我們了。起初我們不知道要做什么，后來老師叫我們把帶來的禮物分送給他們，大部分的禮物是衣服、玩具或是糖果。
然后，我們開始和他們玩，我們還一起玩了一些游戲，接著我們一塊兒吃午餐。下午，小孩們表演一些唱歌和跳舞給我們看，每一首曲子表演完后我們都熱烈鼓掌。離去時我禁不住感到一絲悲傷。對我而言，這些小孩變得像我的小弟弟小妹妹，我想帶他們一起回家好讓他們有個家庭，但是我卻沒辦法。我真為他們感到難過，因為他們不像我們一樣擁有父母。我想等我畢業(yè)后，我愿意多幫助這些不幸的孩子們。
